Owner & Chief Tasting Officer
Tammy Coxen has been sharing her enthusiasm for food and drink through Tammy’s Tastings for over 10 years. But her interest goes back much farther – from lemonade sales in grade school to bread and pie baking businesses in college, she’s always loved feeding people! Add training in group facilitation and a passion for learning everything she can about a topic and then teaching it to other people, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for Tammy’s Tastings. Tammy is a regular commentator on Michigan Radio’s Stateside program, discussing drinks with a Michigan twist. Her favorite drink is usually the one she’s never tried before.
Ken is a construction manager for U of M by day, and Tammy’s right-hand man when she needs additional staff for events. As part of Tammy’s Tastings, Ken teaches cocktail classes on his own, and also assists with cocktail classes, private bartending, private cheffing events, and tour guiding. Ken is a huge sports fan, especially of college football, hockey and lacrosse. He has an affinity for bourbon drinks and amber ales.
