We’re taking the Tammy’s Tastings experience on the road! This guided tour of New Orleans will focus on food and cocktails, but we’ll also spend some time learning about the history and listening to the music that makes New Orleans such an amazing place. This tour is limited to just 10 guests plus two guides for a personalized and intimate experience. Check out the itinerary below!

Thursday:oysters
We’ll kick off our tour with a lunch and cocktail demo/lesson at one of New Orleans modern cocktail bars. Then you’ll have time to settle into your room in a boutique hotel right in the French Quarter before meeting up for cocktail hour at a classic New Orleans bar. Dinner will be at a modern New Orleans restaurant where you’ll enjoy a tasting menu developed just for our group, along with paired beverages.

sodafountainFriday:
We’ll start the day off with beignets and chicory coffee at Cafe de Monde before setting off on a walking tour of the French Quarter. We’ll sample some classic New Orleans fare during a picnic lunch, then head to the Southern Food and Beverage Museum (and home of the Museum of the American Cocktail) for a tour and dessert demonstration/tasting. You’ll have time in the afternoon to relax in your room or explore the French Quarter on your own before meeting up for cocktail hour at a classic or modern New Orleans bar. Dinner tonight will be at a traditional New Orleans restaurant serving Cajun and/or Creole cuisine.

Saturday:
Time to get into the kitchen! We’ll have a cooking class led by a local chef and learn to prepare some classic Creole and Cajun dishes which we’ll eat for brunch. Afterward we’ll head to the Old New Orleans Rum distillery for a tour and tasting, followed by a stop at the ever-fascinating Pharmacy Museum. Later in the afternoon we’ll meet up for our evening cocktail hour before embarking on a music focused walking tour with stops at different venues and a casual dinner along the way.
