Many of the spirits we know and love are made from grain. But what do you do when you’ve got more grapes than grain? You make brandy! In this class we’ll talk all about cocktails you can make using the queen of brandy (Cognac) or other great aged brandies you can find from the USA, Spain and elsewhere. We’ll also talk about Pisco, the unaged grape brandy of Chile and Peru. (You can make brandy with other kinds of fruit, but for this class we’re just talking about grape-based brandies.) For most people, brandy is the least familiar of all the spirits. But it’s rich and delicious, and perfect for cocktails to take you into fall and winter.
You’ll receive a list of several recipes in advance so you can pick which drinks you’d like to make in our mix-along time. Online class sessions are limited to a small number of signups so we can keep things interactive, just like an in-person Tammy’s Tastings class. But you can have multiple people sharing your computer screen for a single ticket purchase, so feel free to bring your spouse/SO/stranded college kids – pricing is per computer connected, not per person!
Bookings are closed for this event. Space may still be available, call Tammy at 734-276-3215 to inquire.
