Cocktails & Cooking: Citrus Celebration

One of the few things I like about winter is that at least there are lots of delicious citrus fruits available to eat, cook and mix with! In this class we’ll celebrate winter citrus with a light, New Year’s resolution-friendly menu, with cocktails to match. I’m once again teaming up with Chef Allison Anastasio of Last Bite Chef to offer this combined online cooking and cocktail class.

What’s on the menu:

  • Blood Orange & Beet Salad with radicchio and fennel
  • Leek Salmon en Papillote with thyme & lemon

The Cocktails:

  • Salt of the Earth – beet infused tequila, salted agave-lime syrup, lime juice, Cointreau
  • Blood Orange & Fennel Sour – vodka or gin, blood orange juice, lemon juice, fennel syrup
  • Thyme Collins – gin, thyme-infused simple syrup, regular or meyer lemon juice, club soda

You’ll receive a detailed shopping list and recipes in advance, and step by step instruction during the class. Stay and eat with classmates at the end or sign off and enjoy on your own – it’s up to you! Most food allergies or restrictions can be accommodated, please note them below or contact me in advance to confirm.

Online class sessions are limited to a small number of signups so we can keep things interactive. But you can have multiple people sharing your computer screen for a single ticket purchase, so feel free to bring your spouse/SO/stranded (21+) college kids – pricing is per computer connected, not per person!

Chef Allison Anastasio of Last Bite Chef is a personal chef & culinary educator based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
