Get ready to celebrate the end of 2020, with an assortment of small bites paired with sparkling wine cocktails. They are filling enough to turn into a meal, and perfect to prep ahead for your home New Year’s Eve celebration.

I’m teaming up with Chef Allison Anastasio of Last Bite Chef to offer this combined online cooking and cocktail class. Chef Allison will teach you to the bites, while I’ll be busting out the bubbles to go along with!

What’s on the menu:

  • Savory Whipped Goat cheese topped with a quick Bacon & Date Jam
  • Spinach and Feta Spanakopita triangles
  • Holiday Bar Nuts – sweet & savory varieties

The Cocktails:

  • Champagne Cocktail – Delicious and oh-so-elegant. We’ll talk about the classic and how to create your own twist.
  • Air Mail: A mostly forgotten rum and sparkling wine classic cocktail from the 1940s.
  • Handbook for the Recently Deceased: Bourbon mingles with spice notes perfect for the season.

You’ll receive a detailed shopping list and recipes in advance, and step by step instruction during the class. Stay and eat with classmates at the end or sign off and enjoy on your own – it’s up to you! Most food allergies or restrictions can be accommodated, please note them below or contact me in advance to confirm.

Online class sessions are limited to a small number of signups so we can keep things interactive. But you can have multiple people sharing your computer screen for a single ticket purchase, so feel free to bring your spouse/SO/stranded (21+) college kids – pricing is per computer connected, not per person!

Chef Allison Anastasio of Last Bite Chef is a personal chef & culinary educator based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is passionately dedicated to nourishing families by providing them not only with nutritious foods prepared from-scratch, but also with peace of mind knowing that they have more time to sit with each other at the end of a long day over a delicious meal.  She has a passion for using local products and seasonal produce, showcasing intense global flavors, and she makes daily practice of reading, experimenting and tasting.  Chef Allison delights in teaching people how to create delicious meals and in developing recipes that are perfect for the home cook.  Read more about her at
