Meet Rye – the American old-timer, he’s dry and spicy. Next up – Bourbon, a smooth talker with a fantastic Kentucky accent. And then there’s Scotch – one day he’s sweet as toffee, the next day he smells like a smoky ashtray – but you love him anyway. We’ll learn about distilling from guest speaker John Britton, distiller at Ann Arbor Distilling Company, compare these three styles of whiskey, and learn all about their cocktail applications.
Your booking includes light snacks (pretzels, nuts). The Last Word is closed during the class, so no food service is available. The class includes a combination of history and stories, technique instruction, and hands-on making of cocktails. Plus sampling, of course! Total consumption is equivalent to 1.5-2 cocktails per person over the 90 minute class.
