The Last Word
301 W Huron Street , Ann Arbor, MI, 48103
These days we call any mixed drink a cocktail, but that used to refer to a very specific style of drink, celebrating the holy trinity of spirit, sugar, and bitters. These days, we call that an Old Fashioned, and this class will trace the evolution of that drink from history to the modern day as you mix and sample variations. Note that while today we mostly think of the Old Fashioned as being a whiskey drink, our Old Fashioneds will feature a variety of spirits.
Your booking includes light snacks (pretzels, nuts). The Last Word is closed during the class, so no food service is available. The class includes a combination of history and stories, technique instruction, and hands-on making of cocktails. Plus sampling, of course! Total consumption is equivalent to 1.5-2 cocktails per person over the two hour class.
