Tammy’s Tastings was founded in 2006 to help people learn about food and drink in a delicious, entertaining and slightly educational way. We offer regularly scheduled online & in-person cocktail classes as well as corporate and private events. Our events are good for all occasions, from corporate team building and customer appreciation events, to birthday and bachelorette parties, to book clubs and other social groups. Each event is tailored to the specific occasion and audience, and available for nearly every budget and timeframe. And while Tammy is the founder of Tammy’s Tastings, we have a fully qualified team capable of delivering a wide range of events.

Rebecca Morrow is a long-time hospitality worker with over 15 years of bartending and serving experience. She finds joy in sharing her gained knowledge with others embracing opportunities to “nerd out” about food and beverage. Beginning in Oct. 2025 she has embraced a bigger role in Tammy’s Tastings and will be responsible for coordinating both public and private in-person events as Tammy’s Tastings New Owner. Tammy Coxen

Founder & Online Event Coordinator

As the founder and Online Event Coordinator of Tammy’s Tastings, Tammy Coxen has been sharing her enthusiasm for food and drink for over 15 years. Since 2011 she has been teaching interactive hands-on cocktail classes to individuals, groups, and companies for events ranging from parties to corporate team building. In 2020 she took those classes online, and now continues to offer both in-person and online events. In 2023 she launched My Tiny Bottles, a project where she’s exploring her grandmother’s legacy of hundreds of miniature liquor bottles, one tiny bottle at a time. She is the co-author of the cocktail book Cheers to Michigan, was co-host of a regular cocktail segment on Michigan Radio (her local NPR affiliate), and has written for Hour Detroit magazine and other publications. Heather Singh

Event Leader

Hailing from Saline, Heather Singh spends much of her time working remotely in operations and marketing, exploring out-of-the-way natural places with her husband and two dogs, and planning trips to visit their kids. She enjoys working with Tammy’s Tastings as it provides the opportunity to engage in some of her favorite activities – helping others, making yummy cocktails, and learning as much as possible about cocktail history and hospitality. She’s especially interested in the nuances of spirits, bitters, syrups and garnishes.

Hour Detroit

Hour Detroit is a monthly print magazine covering the Metro Detroit area. Each month the magazine brings readers stories of regional interest along with the best restaurants, clubs, events and useful resources. From January 2021 to March of 2022 Tammy wrote the Drinks column, highlighting the best of the region’s drinks culture, including wine, beer, cocktails and even non-alcoholic libations.
