Tammy's Tastings at Selma Cafe on May 25

posted May 24, 2012, 7:46 AM by Tammy Coxen

I'm excited to be back behind the stove at Ann Arbor's local foods breakfast salon, Selma Cafe. Come out this Friday not just for the food, but for the great sense of community, and a chance to support our local food system.

Local meets modernist as you start off with an amuse bouche of an encapsulated yogurt sphere atop rhubarb compote. Then choose between two specials. The first is a very spring frittata with garlic scapes and spring onions, served with a cherry scone, hoop house greens, and optional bacon or sauteed greens for vegetarians. My second special will launch us into strawberry season, as we use up the last of 2011's strawberry jam in a deluxe grilled goat cheese and strawberry jam sandwich with balsamic drizzle and fresh basil. Also served with hoop greens and optional bacon or sauteed greens. You can also indulge in the Selma standards of bread pudding, waffles or granola.

See you Friday! Selma has been reaching capacity lately, so check out their new Twitter feed for updates on the line/wait time.
